Essential oils

I have made my batch of scented soaps using essential oils particularly Lavender oil.
I am satisfied with its physical appearance and qualities especially its smell. But upon using it, I have observed that the scent wont last long on the skin.
It smells great and I get to relax while I use it but I was expecting that the scent would somehow stick to my skin for quite longer.
How do I solved this problem? Do I need to add something that would make it stick on the skin?
Answer:
Soap is a wash off product and doesn't usually leave scent on the body for very long.
In order to leave scent on the body you will need to use a leave on product like scented lotion or perfume.
